They tried to save the patient, who was only 22 years old, when they found that he had suddenly stopped breathing and his pulse was gone. Oh, no! The medical staff immediately tried to revive the man and bring him back to life using various methods such as the defibrillator, CPR and giving himĀ epinephrine injections.

Luckily, he resumed breathing slowly but his pulse was still unstable and the doctors was racing against time to save the man. After one hour of trying to stabilised the man’s condition, the doctors had still not given up on him.Ā

Based on the hospital’s procedures, if resuscitation had been going on for more than 30 minutes with no signs of improving, the medical personnel could actually stop doing so. However, Zhou Hong, the emergency department director was determined to save the young man as he had analysed his medical records and determined that the man had a chance to live. What a great doctor!Ā

He said, “Do not give up!” and encouraged the staff to continue while he kept up with the chest compressions. Finally, after about two hours of CPR and about 15,000 chest compressions, the hardworking and determined medical staff managed to help the young man cheat death.Ā
