Fashion is a very subjective thing and what works for someone might not work for another; that’s just how it is. However, when the conversation shifts to Balenciaga, we’re always in confusion as they seem to incorporate everyday things into their fashion at a very high price point.

For example, a bracelet by the fashion house was shown to the world during their Fall/Winter 2024 collection which was showcased during Paris Fashion Week.

One of the more talked about looks was the one where a model sports a bright blue dress held together by tape, you can even see a roll of tape on her wrist.

Well, it turns out that the roll of tape that we’re all so familiar with is an accessory in the collection.

Instagram fashion influencer @myfacewheno_o said that this bracelet is not actually tape, but rather a “solid piece meant to resemble an old roll of tape.”

It is unknown how much the bracelet will go for as it has not been announced by Balenciaga yet, however, similar items from the site seem to cost anywhere from €295 (RM1,600) to €1,600 (RM8,674).

Some fashion influencers deduced that it might go up to €3,000 (RM16.2k) as it has been getting lots of attention, reported The Straits Times.

In a video posted by highsnobiety on TikTok, many netizens shared how they think that Balenciaga is a social experiment.
