23yo M’sian Pleads Guilty to Recording Explicit Videos of His Grandma & Other Family Members Showering

A 23-year-old man was sentenced after admitting to recording and storing pornographic videos of his own family members, including his grandma.

He was given 4 days in jail and fined RM4,000 after pleading guilty to the charges in front of Magistrate Suhaila Shafi’uddin, as reported by Harian Metro.

MCMC informed police about a link connected to the explicit videos

Based on the facts and reports, the police received information from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) about a link used by the accused, which was connected to videos and explicit material he had recorded.

According to the charges, the man, who works on an oil palm plantation, was accused of storing pornographic videos and images on his phone at a house in Batu Pahat, Johor.

When the police received the info, they raided the house where the man lived with his family and seized his phone.

He recorded videos of his family members showering

The police found several images and videos on the accused’s phone. When questioned, he admitted that the explicit material included footage of his grandma, aunt, and cousin.

The videos and images were taken while they were showering or changing clothes in their rooms.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Farah Wahidah Mohd Sharip handled the case, while the accused was represented by Tan Song Yan from the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK).

As a result, the accused was charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which can carry up to three years in prison, a fine, or both if found guilty.
