A Malaysian mother took to social media to celebrate her brave young son, Furqan, who battled cancer for years and missed his early primary school education, only to achieve remarkable academic results upon his return to school.

Writing in an emotional post on Threads, user @mariam_kamsan shared photos of Furqan in the hospital alongside his impressive Standard 6 examination results.

“My son, a cancer fighter, didn’t attend school from Primary 1 to 3 to focus on chemotherapy treatment for his recovery. He returned to school in Primary 4, and this is his end-of-year achievement for Standard 6. Alhamdulillah, so grateful for these results,” she shared in her post.

Furqan continues his recovery journey

The mother shared how deeply moved she felt seeing her child, who has been battling a chronic illness, continue to fight for better health while still managing to achieve good results at school.

Speaking exclusively to WORLD OF BUZZ, Furqan’s mother expressed her gratitude while updating on her son’s current health status and his excitement upon receiving his grades.

According to her, he was so happy and excited when he came home from school with his exam results and couldn’t wait to show them to her!

“Alhamdulillah, Furqan is now cancer-free from chemotherapy treatment, but he is still fighting his battle with cancer.

“He continues to attend regular follow-up blood tests every four months. Please keep Furqan in your prayers, and hopefully, he will officially become a cancer survivor next year!” she said.

Keeping up with studies while undergoing chemotherapy was no easy feat, but dedicated home learning played a vital role in keeping his mind active during treatment.

His mother shared that when he was unable to attend school for those three years, she enrolled him in online mathematics classes and encouraged him to learn English through educational games.
