Meal Stolen, Debt Remains: M’sian Left in Disbelief After Monkey Hijacks Her Food Order She Bought Using PayLater

Living in areas near lush greenery always carries a wild card with unexpected visits from hungry wildlife. One Malaysian recently learned this the hard way when a cheeky monkey swooped in to claim her freshly delivered meal right outside her house before she could even take a single bite.

Taking to Threads, user @ainn_azmii shared a hilarious yet painful video capturing a wild monkey perched atop her front pillar, casually digging through her takeout bag and munching away on her food.

“On top of being hungry, I even bought it using ‘Pay Later’. You can figure out for yourself why someone would need to use that just to buy food,” the user wrote in her post.

User tried splashing water, but the monkey refused to budge

Speaking exclusively to WORLD OF BUZZ, the user recounted the amusing stand-off that took place between her and the uninvited furry guest.

“I didn’t wait to collect my food from the rider. When I came out, me and the monkey arrived at the same time. I was scared of the monkey, so I let it take the food first. I didn’t dare to go near it,

“I tried splashing water at it and throwing things to scare it away, but it just wouldn’t leave. In the end, I just let it be because I was really scared of getting bitten by that monkey.” the user said.

Accepting defeat and laughing it off

Despite losing her meal and having to pay for the order regardless, the user maintained a humorous outlook on the entire situation, accepting that nature simply won this round.

When asked if she reached out to customer support or the delivery platform, she explained why she decided to let the matter rest peacefully.

“No, I haven’t contacted them. I feel like there’s nothing much that can be done anyway, because it’s neither the rider’s fault nor the platform’s fault, it’s the monkey’s fault! So I just accepted it with an open heart and paid for the order.” the user shared with WORLD OF BUZZ.

The incident serves as a relatable reminder for homeowners residing near forested patches to collect drop-off deliveries as quickly as possible!
