WATCH: Man Trespasses into Kedah Home, Demands Cash from Female Homeowner

Residents of Taman Bidara, Kulim are advised to be more vigilant following an incident where an unknown man trespassed into a home’s driveway recently.

In the incident, the homeowner’s wife, who had just returned from work, was opening the gate using a remote control when the man suddenly entered the property and demanded cash.

It is understood that the suspect did not show any identification documents or carry any weapons during the incident.

Acting quickly, the victim immediately closed her car window to ensure her safety and did not comply with the suspect’s demands.

A police report has been filed, and authorities are currently investigating the matter.

In light of this, the police advised the public to always be vigilant, especially when entering or leaving their homes.

Some recommended safety measures include:

  • Ensuring gates and doors are locked immediately upon arriving home.
  • Avoiding opening gates automatically from a distance without first checking the surroundings.
  • Reporting to the police immediately if suspicious individuals are detected in the neighborhood.
  • Installing additional security systems such as CCTV and motion sensor lights to enhance home security.
  • Residents are also reminded not to easily trust unknown individuals who ask for money or try to enter the property without a valid reason.
