A man is currently going viral online after he was spotted relieving himself openly, outside of a row of shops in Kangar, Perlis.

I Love Perlis 我爱玻璃市 took to its Facebook page to showcase a video of the man’s actions, while adding their disbelief that the man was relieving himself in a public manner.

They wrote, “Everyone needs to use the restroom, but doing it in public? Does this count as littering?”

In the video, the man could be seen casually urinating outside of a row of shophouses before zipping up his pants and walking away after he was done.

Why record the man?

While many debated on the man’s choice to urinate in such a public place, others questioned why someone would record the man in the first place.

“Whose husband and son is this? What a disgrace! Urinating in public like that! Even if you’re in a hurry, you should find a toilet!”

“This person probably genuinely couldn’t hold it in and relieved themselves on the spot.”

“It’s really rude to record someone who urgently needs to urinate, and then post it online for others to see. It’s really rude, recording people without consent is wrong and there should be consequences.”

“Isn’t recording someone without consent illegal? Whose crime is more serious?”
