Just recently, Dato Seri Vida’s former ex-BF and personal assistant, Iqbal Zulkefli said that he needs at least RM50,000 a month to survive, indirectly revealing how much he makes approximately in a month.

With that much money he makes every month, it’s inevitable for some people to wonder if he has ever skipped paying taxes to LHDN. In a recent interview, Iqbal assured that he fulfills his responsibility as a citizen every month by paying taxes. In fact, Iqbal was gracious enough to share how much taxes he had paid last year, without revealing how much exactly he paid last year.

“The tax I pay every year is enough for me to buy 5 Perodua Axia!”

Ever since he started running his own business in 2018, Iqbal assured the people that he has never skipped paying taxes and understands that the higher the income, the higher the taxes he has to pay.

“I pay my taxes because that’s what a responsible citizen should do.”

Money laundering?

In the interview, Iqbal also said some netizens have suspected him of money laundering and running away from paying taxes given his wealth, which he has since refuted. To him, those suspicions arose because people just don’t understand, and have never seen his hard work.

“I am absolutely innocent and I feel misunderstood sometimes. I have never shared my efforts or hardships that I had to go through when I first started my business.”

As an entrepreneur, he has never denied the tough times of running a business and he refused to complain or rant about the hardships on his social media. What you see is what Iqbal allows to you see.

“I value privacy, and I choose not to tell everyone how busy I am. I want to live in a more relaxed state,” Iqbal explained.

Earlier, Iqbal revealed that he needs at least RM50,000 a month for his commitments alone. With what you are earning today, is it enough for you to survive with all the commitments and wants?
