It’s no secret that prices of food items are skyrocketing in Malaysia.

But, even then, it’s rather common for more high end places like resorts and hotels to price their food and drinks higher than normal restaurants.

Netizen, Emoncs Tay, took to her Facebook account to showcase her shock after having to pay RM15.90 for a cup of hot Milo at a resort in Kota Tinggi, Johor.

She wrote, “The hot Milo surprised me!”

Sharing her receipt, it was noted that she ordered 3 hot Milos for a total of RM47.70, with each portion being RM15.90.

She also ordered a few food items which were also rather pricey if you considered how much they would cost at a Mamak restaurant or a similarly normal eatery.

Though, despite the prices, people were only focused on one particular thing on Emoncs’s receipt. It was the fact that she ordered Roti Telur Bawang (Roti Canai with egg and onions) and requested for no onions.

“Am I the only one seeing Roti Telur Bawang with no onions?”

Milo 5

“Why not just order Roti Telur?”

Milo 6

“This is what surprised me!”

Milo 3

“It’s better to just order Roti Telur.”

Emoncs did clarify in the comment section of her post that the resort’s menu only had Roti Telur Bawang, which prompted her to HAVE TO request for the dish to be without onions.

With all the antics aside, do you think resorts should have priced a hot Milo at RM15.90 or is that just overkill?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
