Many Malaysians believe that our local TV drama lack quality. But, despite this, these TV drama still maintain a certain level and consideration for sensitivities.

Now, TV3 and their TV series, Lelaki Itu, is getting flak from the general public over a scene that is just too much.

TV3 took to their Twitter page to showcase a scene from the TV series, where a group of men took turns raping a female character.

Rape 6

They wrote, “OMG! Sya got raped in turns by motorcycle dudes!”

In the 33-second clip, the female character, Sya, could be seen on the ground in what looks like a jungle, as she cries and struggles against one of the motorcycle dudes holding her down.

The other motorcycles dudes stood nearby, laughing and recording the scene on their phone.

The clip then showed the motorcycles dudes taking turns on Sya from her perspective on the ground.

This scene proved to be too much for Malaysians as many took to the post to condemn it, calling it uncreative, trashy, traumatising and more.

Rape 2

“It’s already bad that they did a rape scene, and they went and posted it on social media as a promo.”

Rape 4

“This scene is already a trigger for people. But, this tweet is just one thing, you’re sitting there going OMG OMG is another thing, is there something wrong with the admin?”
