A teenager in China turned hostile when his mother couldn’t give him what he wanted – money.

In a viral Douyin video, the son began to get physical and kicked his mum to the ground before continuously landing multiple kicks of fury onto the defenceless woman.

The incident took place in Shandong province outside their residential compound. A passerby tried to stop the violent boy but his mother told them not to interfere instead.

A security guard then came forward to help and told the boy to stop. Unfortunately, the abuse continued with profanities.

In the next scene, the boy could be seen speedily running towards his mum, who had walked away, to continue abusing her. The mother could be seen running away to avoid him but she did not try to fight back.

Her son was eventually subdued and arrested by the police who came to the scene not long after.

Is money the root of all evil?

According to the video, the son was allegedly asking for money to fix his broken phone. Her son became furious when she refused and said he was going to “teach her a lesson.”

Shockingly, the woman told her son not to do so publicly and do it at home instead.

Another video revealed that after the boy was taken away by police, his mum told the public that she had called the mobile phone company to ask for guidance in fixing the phone. However, the employees said they couldn’t help.

The boy blamed his mum instead, and said,

“Get out there. I have to teach you a lesson! I’m not an adult yet, you should take responsibility for me!”

Nearby shop owners also said that on the same day, the mother was seen bringing her son home from the police station. It is also reported that the woman had divorced her husband and has been over-pampering the son since her husband’s absence.

We hope the family can get the help they need.
