Recently, a video has been circulating on social media of a middle-aged Malaysian man who was being severely beaten up using sticks by another group of men. While it has been speculated that the cause of the beating was because the man owed a debt to loan sharks, it has now been made clear that this is not actually the case.

According to Chinapress, apparently the reason the man was beaten up is because the neighbours could not stand him always beating up and abusing his wife so they decided to teach him a lesson. The video which was shared on social media last week showed the man being forced to kneel down in front of a burly man holding a thick rattan stick.

He proceeds to beat the kneeling man with the stick infront of a woman who appears to be the man’s wife and a child who looks about 12 years old or younger. Once the man starts beating him with the stick until he is lying on the ground, the child starts crying loudly.

The man starts shouting at the victim and threatening him saying, “You are really not scared of dying!” The police were alerted of the incident, which happened in Klang on August 6 at around 3.30pm and proceeded to investigate. It was discovered that the man would often abuse his wife and neighbours had often warned him to stop but he did not listen.

Frustrated, they called in help from some gangster acquaintances to teach him a lesson about abusing his wife and son. The man was left bruised and battered when he decided to lodge a police report yesterday.

While the video has received a lot of attention on social media, some people said that the man shouldn’t have beaten the father up in front of the boy as this could cause him to suffer mental damage.

Do you think the man deserved his beatings?
