The suspect has been arrested by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), and according to the police, she was under immense pressure.

Kajang district Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, said the woman, who is a student at a local university, is believed to have been upset over the bad treatment she received during her studies and life in Malaysia.

After hitting other vehicles, the suspect disembarked from her car and attacked passersby nearby, before she was finally subdued by the public, with two knives found in her possession.
