A bus carrying 12 Covid-19 patients from Perak crashed into a toll plaza near Serdang yesterday afternoon.

The incident caused six Covid-19 patients to suffer minor injuries. The driver was also injured in the incident, suffering a minor leg injury before confirming that he was also Covid-19 positive.

The bus can be seen hurtling down the highway in the video, apparently not slowing down as it approached the toll plaza.

The bus was on its way to a nearby quarantine and low-risk treatment centre, ferrying patients from the Changkat Jong Cluster in Perak.

According to the Sepang District Chief Of Police, Assistant Commissioner Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, the driver lost control of his vehicle as the bus approached the Touch & Go lane of the toll plaza.

All of the victims are currently treated at the Serdang Hospital, while the authorities brought the remaining six to MAEPS using another service.
