Thailand always seems to be on another level when it comes to 7-Eleven. So, if omelettes aren’t your thing and you’re more into beer, this is definitely something you should check out!

One of the 7-Eleven branches in Bangkok’s China Town now has a machine that serves freshly-poured beer at pretty decent prices!

Yup! This 7-Eleven now has a beer machine that can pour beer at a 45-degree angle, so you can get the perfect amount of foam. Currently, there’s only one brand of draft beer on offer there, which is their local brand, Leo.

The best part? One cup only costs about THB49 (approx. RM6)! Nice!

However, if you plan on visiting this 7-Eleven outlet anytime soon, the machine’s appearance has changed slightly due to certain regulations enforced by local authorities recently.

According to Coconuts, after a video of the beer machine in action went viral on social media in Thailand, some netizens questioned the legality of it, given the country’s strict laws regarding alcohol.

In Thailand, it’s apparently illegal to advertise or display brands of alcoholic drinks in a way that encourages people to drink, according to their Alcohol Control Act. Hence, because of this law, the convenience store has now covered the machine in a white cloth so that the beer brand’s logo won’t be on display. So technically, what they’re doing is perfectly legal!

So, looks like you can still get to try out this beer the next time you’re in Bangkok, after all. Just remember to look out for a giant machine covered in white cloth!
