While wet markets have always been, well, wet and a little dirty, no one would expect there to be human waste near the food items for sale.

Unfortunately, one man’s desperate need to go to the washroom had forced him to pee where he sells fish at a wet market in Bagan Serai, Perak.

The incident, which was caught on CCTV footage, was shared by the #UpdateInfo Twitter page.

They wrote, “A vendor is believed to have relieved himself at his place of business. The Operations Unit has met with the person and asked him about the incident of indecent behaviour.”

In the CCTV footage showcased, the vendor could be seen standing behind the counter of his fish stall, seemingly relieving himself.

A stream of liquid could even be seen on the ground underneath him as potential customers approached his stall while he was conducting the alleged act. There were people literally right in front of him!

Pee 3

Based on the video, it appears that the vendor had committed the act twice!

He admitted to the Operations Unit that he had to pee at his fish stall as he could not find anyone to sit in for his business while he went to the toilet.

“The vendor admitted that he relieved himself there with the excuse that no one could replace him at the stall at that time. As a result of the meeting, the vendor apologised and promised not to do it again,” #UpdateInfo added.

This truly gives the term ‘wet market’ a whole new meaning.
