During the past few days, a clip by UK traveller Abzventure went viral on Malaysian social media.

In the clip, he discovered a burger stall on Jalan Alor where a Bangladeshi man was cooking and selling burgers. The traveller was also heard saying:

“Malaysia is not Malaysian anymore. It’s Bangladesh, trust me.”

This part was edited from his YouTube video but netizens who watched it before the edits managed to record that scene. The clip has blown up and angered quite a few Malaysians.

Since this has gone viral, DBKL has paid the burger stall a visit on May 3.

When the authorities got to the stall, they saw that the burger stall was being run by Malaysians instead and there were no working Bangladeshi men to be seen.

“A compound was issued because this Malaysian was running a business without a license.”

Many netizens said that the Bangladeshi man probably went into hiding because of how viral this issue was and asked the authorities to try again after it subsided.

“Don’t give up. Find them until you get them. If there are locals who let them use their permit, take it back.”

“This store has been featured many times on YouTube, and it always shows that a foreigner ran it. He probably went into hiding as this issue went viral, so try again next time,” said a user.
