Mohd Na’im added that JAKIM has been requested to collaborate with the State Islamic Religious Departments, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and other relevant parties so that the issue of insults to Islam in our country could be addressed.

The de facto Religious Affairs Minister then called upon all parties to act responsibly in preserving the unity and harmony in Malaysia.

Mohd Na’im iterated that his Ministry consistently affirms its commitment to safeguarding the sanctity and dignity of Islam. Furthermore, any party found to be insulting Islam must be brought to justice as a lesson to all.

He stressed,

“Any form of provocation and extreme act must be stopped. Unity is a blessing that must be maintained to achieve the essence of Malaysia Madani.”

Complaints can be channeled via WhatsApp or email

As for the hotline itself, JAKIM further elaborated on its mechanics on its official Facebook account.

The department said that the hotline is open 24 hours every day. You can channel any complaints about insults to Islam to the number 017-3234533 on WhatsApp or email the hotline at ym.vog.malsiobfsctd-37bbfd@nauda

Furthermore, in order for JAKIM can investigate the complaint and take further action, complainants are advised to fill in the form in this link here.
