Maisarah shares her experience

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Maisarah who is an Assistant Air Traffic Controller based in Kuala Terengganu said that it was initially not her dream to become an air traffic controller.

“Personally, my childhood ambition was to be a teacher, as I find satisfaction helping others learn and understand a topic or any knowledge better. However, I studied Mechanical Engineering (Aeronautics) in university and was expecting to be an engineer instead,” she said.

“I heard about this career (air traffic controller) as one of the careers related to aviation during my first semester of diploma. Then during my third year of degree, I went for a field trip and got the chance to visit KL Air Traffic Control Centre in Subang and witnessed these ATCs working there.”

“I was thrilled and found the job cool too, just like other people would! Since then I had been aiming to apply for the job once I completed my study and thankfully the journey was smooth and here I am today, gaining skills and experience as an ATC,” she added.
