183 People Arrested At KL Club For Breaking RMCO

A total of 183 individuals were detained at an entertainment centre in Jalan Bukit Bintang, early this morning (12 Sep) for violating the rules of the RMCO. These individuals were arrested during Ops Noda by the police at about 12.50am.  When the raid happened, the entertainment centre was congested and RMCO SOPs were not clearly followed.

As reported by Bernama, Kuala Lumpur IPK Criminal Investigation Department (Intelligence / Operations) Deputy Head ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad explained that of the 183 detained, 75 were female visitors aged between 21 and 40 years. He said,

“The police also arrested 12 employees of the entertainment outlet, including 12 foreigners who are believed to be working without valid permit.”

The operation ended at about 3am and the police also confiscated various equipment including speakers, mobile phones as well as cash amounting to RM2,000. It was also discovered that the entertainment centre was operating without a license.
