Compared to more branded cars like Toyota or Camry, Kancil, of course, will be the one overlooked by many because of its small size as well as its limited abilities.

But has it ever crossed your mind that you can actually use this little car to start up your own business?

Recently, photos about this particular 660cc Kancil car have been recirculating online. Not because it’s damaged or was involved in any crime, but because it has been customized into a ‘FOOD TRUCK’! Tadaaa!

The owner of this business, Yahya Che’an (65) is an ex-lorry driver. He started selling murtabak megi as a part-time job since 30 years ago. It was only in 2012, he decided to put his full focus on it as he needed to feed his six children, according to Sinar Harian.

He said that along with his wife, Noraini Abdullah (60), they used to put up a stall near a petrol station in Batang Kali, but ever since Yahya bought the car from his friend, everything became much easier. Since then, they didn’t have to go through all the trouble of setting up the mobile stall and foldable tables.

The customization of this Kancil was done solely by Yahya, using the equipment from the car workshop he started several years go.

“On normal days, I’ll sell murtabak near Petronas petrol station in Batang Kali. This Kancil is not for daily usage. But solely for business purposes. Two litres of oil would be enough as the distance from the Petronas to my house is not far,” said Yahya.

The murtabak Yahya sells cost only RM3 per piece. While for school children, they can get it at RM1 for a smaller piece.

Wonderful creativity don’t you think? There’s no such thing as a dead end. As long as you’re willing to make the change, everything is possible!
