It’s no secret that many people in Kelantan are, at this point, used to not having proper water infrastructure set in place and have to rely on gathering clean water for their daily needs.

And while their community leaders are focused on politics, there is one people’s representative that appears to be trying to fix this issue for the people in his constituency. But, is he looking for a solution in the right place?

Businesswoman, @lady_bugg11, took to her Twitter page to condemn Pasir Puteh MP for attempting to fix up what looks like a very dirty mountain water reservoir in an effort to use it as a water source for his community members.

She wrote, “No to pipe water, yes to a mountain water reservoir.”

“When those who fail are elected, they expect the people to struggle in finding water for ourselves until the peak of a mountain. Isn’t it easy to be a people’s representative with a salary of tens of thousands a month. Do you think Allah won’t question this in your afterlife?”

The Pasir Puteh MP, Datuk Dr. Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh, had shared 2 videos on his TikTok page, which showcased him sharing how he will upgrade a dirty mountain water reservoir so that the people of his constituency can use it as water supply.

In the first video, the MP could be seen travelling to the reservoir and arriving at the site. The second video shows the MP showcasing the dirty reservoir and explaining that he plans to clean it up and upgrade it to provide water for the people.

Do you think that the MP’s idea is suitable or should he be looking into providing water to the people through proper piping?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
