Initially, a parliament sitting had been planned on 9 March 2020 to determine who has the majority support according to Pakatan Harapan. As reported on The Star, Pakatan Harapan released a statement earlier today (1 March) announcing that the next Parliament session will go on as scheduled on 9 March with the support of 112 MPs.

“This is an excellent opportunity to determine the support of the Prime Minister thus ending the current political turmoil of the country.”

After Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad stated that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong would not see him anymore, he was confident that Pakatan Harapan had the majority support, not Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“I do not have the chance to tell him that Muhyiddin does not have the majority support. That is the situation.”

However, the latest released news had announced that the 14th Parliament Assembly sitting may be postponed, according to the New Straits Times. The reason for the postponement was not clarified, and the Dewan Rakyat Speaker, Tan Sri Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof, said that he will communicate with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to confirm on a new date for the Parliament session.
