Woman Gets Slashed in Face By Ex-Boyfriend in PJ Mall After His Love Was Rejected

A Malaysian woman was shockingly slashed in the face after a talk between the victim and her ex-boyfriend went terribly wrong. This incident happened at a shopping mall in Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, last Thursday (7 February).

According to Harian Metro and China Press, the 24-year-old victim was slashed by a sharp tool from her upper lip to her right cheek. The ex-boyfriend was later identified as a Bangladeshi man.

“The victim is in stable condition after receiving treatment at PPUM and she was discharged a day after the incident. Based on the information provided, the police have captured the suspect who in his 20s last Friday (8 February).

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is the victim’s ex-boyfriend and the authorities are in the midst of finding out why the man had acted in such a way,” Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said. 

The suspect will be remanded for seven days until this Friday (15 February) and the case will be investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons.

Seeing how serious the injury is, we sincerely pray for the victim’s recovery and hopefully, it won’t leave a scar on her face.
