Recently, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) froze about 900 bank accounts linked to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). These accounts are believed to have received money through 1MDB’s corrupted deals. This includes former prime minister Najib Razak’s bank account as well.

Today (July 5), Najib’s daughter, Nooryana Najwa claimed that her personal bank account was also frozen right after she paid for her father’s bail.

“Immediately after I posted bail for my dad yesterday with funds collected from friends and relatives, my bank said they had instructions to freeze my personal account which I use to pay for my own school fees,” she said in a Facebook post.

She also claimed that her 10-month-old son’s bank account containing RM100 was frozen, adding that the money was his first ‘duit Raya’ this year. Najib’s grandson also kena?

On top of that, Norashman, Najib’s son, had his personal bank account frozen too, according to Malaysia Kini.

Meanwhile, Nooryana questioned why the new government was so unforgiving and asked if they sought to “eliminate” her entire family.

“What does my baby’s ‘duit Raya’ have to do with 1MDB? Is this the new Malaysia people were praying for?” she added.

Yesterday, she had to pay RM500,000 in cash for her father’s bail, and will have to pay the remaining RM500,000 next Monday (July 9).

Do you think it’s fair that Najib’s grandson’s personal bank account got frozen too? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
