76y/o M’sian in Kepong Asks His Friend to Return His RM250, Gets Beaten to Death With Plastic Chair

If your responsibility to return the money that you’ve borrowed from others, but an unfortunate man in Kepong, KL met his demise just because he was asking for his money.

Yesterday morning (January 27), the 76-year-old victim was beaten with a plastic chair by the suspect when the latter was asked to return the RM250 that he owed the victim. The fight happened in front of a restaurant in Jalan Prima 2, Metro Prima, Kepong, where the victim tried to counter-attack the suspect with a cable rod.

A number of RELA officers nearby then stopped the fight, and the victim tried to leave the scene. Unfortunately, he collapsed and died 100 metres away from the scene. 

On the same morning, the 63-year-old suspect was apprehended by the police at Kepong Police Station when he went there to make a report about the incident. The plastic chair used to beat the victim, and the cable rod that the victim used to protect himself have been confiscated by PDRM for further investigation.

The suspect, however, did not have any criminal record, and he will be remanded today (January 28) for further investigation.

According to the police statement, the body of the victim has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem to identify the cause of death.

In the meantime, PDRM also urged the public to come forward if they have any relevant information pertaining to the case.
