We’ve all heard stories of young women marrying men twice their age and it just makes us wonder, maybe true love really does have no limit and age certainly is not one of them!

According to Oriental Daily, a netizen from Thailand shared several photos of his friend’s wedding, but this is no ordinary couple as the groom is 50 years older than the bride!

The 70-year-old man is said to have never been married before meeting his 20-year-old bride, and had paid 20 million baht (about RM2.75 million) for the dowry.

However, their marriage caused a lot of rumours to spread among friends and relatives at the wedding who judged the union from beginning to end. Nevertheless, the couple still came together happily.

At the wedding banquet, the 70-year-old groom said, “We have already agreed on the wedding date, so no matter where I am in the world, I will come back to meet my wife on that day.”

A friend who attended the wedding said that the groom is a successful person who comes from a well-to-do family, which is evident in the lavish ceremony.
