A woman was attacked by a man who is suspected of using a knife during the assault, causing the victim to bleed.

According to China Press, the incident happened at about 5.47pm on 23 June at Taman Wangsa Permai, Kepong.

CCTV footage shows a woman in a blue shirt standing outside a shop. As she turned to walk away, a man in a red shirt tugged on her shirt.

The woman pulled away and proceeded to sit on the steps outside the shop. However, the man suddenly pushed her head to the ground and started attacking her. The woman struggled as the suspect held her down.

He then left the scene, but it wasn’t clear if he had taken anything from the woman as his hands seemed empty.

The woman can then be seen bleeding out on the ground from injuries suspected to be on her head. Members of the public then came to her aid and tried to stop the bleeding.

It is uncertain what the suspect’s motive was during the attack as further information about the incident has not been made available at the time of writing.

However, Gombak District Police Chief, Zainal Mohamed bin Mohamed, confirmed that a report has been received, but declined to disclose further information about the incident as it is still under investigation.
