In recent news, a fire has broken out on a billboard located near TM PJ Central on the Federal Highway. Maintenance personnel are seen trapped on the billboard. According to Kosmo, the fire took place at 1.25pm today (31st May) near the Jalan Gasing exit.

According to Sinar Daily, the fire started out of nowhere and spread fast, making parts of the billboard break off and fall onto the highway. This caused major traffic jams as drivers had to weave through the debris on the lanes.

One of the the victims there said the electronic billboard short-circuited at the bottom, which caused the fire to spread up. Out of the 9 victims, one suffered an arm injury and another suffered minor burns.
