A Top Glove security guard from Nepal has died from the Covid-19 virus.

In a statement shared to WORLD OF BUZZ by Top Glove, they confirmed the saddening news.

“Top Glove regrets to inform that one of our employees has passed away on Saturday, 12 December 2020 at the Sungai Buloh Hospital. Yamnarayan Chaudhary Tharu, aged 29, from Nepal, passed away as a result of Covid-19 pneumonia with lung fibrosis. Mr. Tharu had worked at Top Glove’s manufacturing facility in Meru, Klang for over two years,” they shared.

“Towards this, Top Glove offers our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased and is working with the authorities for Mr. Tharu’s burial arrangements. Additionally, compassionate payment shall be made to the next-of-kin of the deceased to ease the financial burden of his family,” they added.

This comes after Top Glove had received worldwide scrutiny for the terrible conditions of their quarantine centre.
