The Kuala Muda District National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) in Kedah has arrested a family of three after they were all found to be using syabu (methamphetamine).

Taking to its Facebook page, the agency shared the son’s explanation of his upbringing; he recounted growing up watching his parents consume drugs in front of him, though he claimed he initially became involved with substances through his peers.

The AADK wrote: “A father, mother, and a son. Where did they go wrong?”

“A father and mother turned their home into a drug den. The son stated that he grew up watching his parents take drugs in front of him. He claimed that while he did not join them initially, he eventually fell in with a social circle involved in drug use.”

The son further expressed his belief that his parents were indifferent to his future, which forced him to fend for himself from a young age.

The son’s confession

The son eventually admitted to following in his parents’ footsteps.

“I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted. Eventually, I also became involved with syabu. My father and mother are the same. What happened in the end? Our entire family was arrested by the AADK last night (6 April). So, there is nothing left to hide. That is our life,” he said.
