Tired of having to endure the insane amount of traffic that’s surfaced after the lockdowns and have bright ideas that may help squash the problem?

Well, here’s your chance to cash in on those ideas, if they’re good enough!

Subang Jaya ADUN, Michelle Ng Mei Sze, took to her Twitter profile to showcase a public policy competition on how to solve traffic congestion.

She wrote, “In recent weeks, drivers in Klang Valley have had one common complaint – the steady build-up of traffic regardless of time, weather or road conditions. It is frustrating and both mentally and physically taxing!”

“Hence, we will be conducting a Public Policy Competition where we wanna hear ideas on ways to combat traffic congestion from youths and young adults.”

The competition is opened to those aged 17 to 30, and they’re only accepting registrations from 10 teams (of a maximum of 3 people) to participate and win cash prizes! The winning team with the best idea on how to reduce traffic jams will receive RM1,000, whereas the second and third placings will take home RM800 and RM500 respectively.

“If you think you got what it takes, gather your mates, draw up a plan and let’s help bring change together!”

The competition will take place on 16 July, from 9am to 1pm at an unconfirmed location. Not to mention, there will also be a public policy workshop on 9 July, from 10am to 1pm, at a location yet to be determined.

So, what are you waiting for? You can register here for free!

Stay tuned for more updates.
