You know how the saying goes: Once bitten, twice shy, and in this case, the predator became the prey when an old lady turned the tables on a scammer who had scammed her in the past!

The incident occured in the early morning at the Puchong Indah morning market, when the 62-year-old woman had gone to the market to carry out her usual shopping. When the she recognised one of the women that had scammed her out of her money back in July, she started screaming “scammer!”, which scared her attacker off, and led to her being apprehended.

Sources of Sinar Harapan said that the old woman had gotten the crowd at the morning market to help her tie the woman down to one of the iron bars by the market.

Prior to this incident, the old lady had been hypnotised at the very same market earlier in July by a syndicate involving three women who were China nationals.

The women in their forties told her that her house was haunted and needed to be ‘cleansed’. At that point, they followed her home and asked her to give them all her valuables and jewelry. The following day she had also been contacted by the women and told to withdraw more money to help exorcise the ghosts from her house.

According to The Star, she lost approximately RM10,000 that day, along with five gold rings and five gold chains!

But this time when she spotted the woman in the market, she was well prepared. Don’t mess with us fellow Malaysians!

Subang OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari said that the police were notified of the capture of the 47-year old China-native and rushed to the scene at around 7.45am.

Let this be a warning to Malaysians to be wary of these syndicates, and to watch each other’s backs.
