Following this, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the prime minister’s wife has made a rallying cry to Malaysians. According to FMT, she has told Malaysians that they should “follow the blue shirts” as GE14 looms closer.

She said this in a talk programme known as “The Power of Knowledge” with the members of the Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti). In her speech, Rosmah said that if given a chance, Barisan Nasional would work even harder for the people.

“We (the blue shirts) are your friends, you have seen us and how we work. We would never cheat on you,” she explained. She also urged people not to believe everything they see online.

“Don’t trust what you read or watch online in sites such as Youtube. All they want is to knock down our husbands, our government and our leaders by attacking the wives. You know what I mean,” she added. Do you know what she means?

The event, which was held at Dewan Bangunan Bakti Siti Hasmah is meant to the highlight the importance of women in Malaysia as well. Sinar Harian reported that she said we should be proud that we have a government that acknowledges women as a major aspect in the development of the country.

Rosmah said that previously the government had always been very inclusive and never neglected the issues that women in the country faced. She added that Malaysia is the only ASEAN country to set a target to make sure that at least 30% of women would be in decision making roles in the public and corporate sector.

“In politics, women have become the backbone for BN with Wanita Umno, Wanita MIC, Wanita MCA and Wanita Gerakan, all playing an important role, moreover as the election will be approaching soon,” she said.

What do you think of Rosmah’s advice to voters? Also, remember our mama’s word to not to believe everything you read online yeah 😉
