Selangor and Kedah to Offer 50% Discount on Traffic Fines Up Until Next Week

For those of you who have been waiting on paying your traffic summons, it seems that next week will be the best time as both Selangor and Kedah are offering 50% discount on such fines.

According to a Facebook post by the Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), the offer will commence on Tuesday (December 20) and will run until Wednesday (December 21).

They also stated that the 50% discount will be applicable at all traffic district contingents throughout Selangor and the opening hours for the department will be set from 8am to 4pm.

The campaign which is branded as the state JSPT’s Hari Bertemu Pelanggan or Customers Day, offers road users the chance to pay discounted fines on summons excluding those involving traffic lights, emergency lane, double line overtaking, dangerous overtaking/queue cutting, accidents, non-compound (NC), court cases, exhaust modification and those involving heavy vehicles/lorries.

Meanwhile, in Kedah, the offer will begin earlier and will run for 3 days, starting today, (December 17) until Monday (December 19).

The discount will be applicable at all traffic district contingents throughout the state of Kedah and the opening hours for traffic offices in Kedah are set from 8am to 5pm.
