“My efforts paid off” – Penang-Born Youth Represented M’sia & Named Miss Teen Elegance in Dubai

It’s always flattering to see Malaysians bringing the name of our country to fame globally when they unlock an achievement

Another day, another achievement unlocked by Malaysian overseas. Meet Dheper Teh, a Penang born youth who has recently been named Miss Teen Elegance in Dubai and she announced her victory via her Instagram account.

“I’m overjoyed and honoured to be named Miss Teen Elegance,” she said in her post.

Dheper also stated that she is grateful for this achievement as it is one of the most essential titles and a female certainly need elegance.

WORLD OF BUZZ reached out to Dheper and congratulated her on the achievement and she revealed that winning herself the Miss Teen Elegance award is definitely one of the biggest highlights of her life.

“I am proud to be named Miss Teen Elegance. I’ve worked really hard for this pageant and my efforts paid off! I really hope that I made everyone proud,” she added.

When asked about her future plans, Dheper, who is currently pursuing a Diploma in Business at Inti College, Penang told WORLD OF BUZZ that for now, she aims to focus on her studies and modelling career. She is expected to return to the pageant once she has graduated.

In the meantime, she also revealed that her dreams to be in modelling and the pageant started as early as when she was only 5-years-old.

“I remember watching Miss World show live on TV for the first time when I was 5. That was when I told myself I wanted to be like them too 1 day.”

Thanks to her supportive parents, she managed to kickstart her dreams when she was 15-year old. Since then, she worked hard to achieve what she wants in life and the rest is history. She also said that her mother is her role model in her life.

“Whenever I look at my mom, I always tell myself that I should be like her.”

Dheper added that Catriona Gray, a Filipino-American model has always been one of her inspirations in the pageant.

Last year, Dheper represented Malaysia as the finalist for Miss Teen Universe 2021 and said that she wanted to take the opportunity to highlight Malaysia’s beauty and promote our diverse cultures.

We would like to congratulate her on her latest achievement. We are certainly proud that our country is once again recognised globally!
