Some people are more than willing to go the extra mile to fulfill what they need and sometimes, unfortunately, at the cost of invading others’ privacy.

A married man in Johor was recently caught red-handed in his attempt to peep at women in a toilet at a supermarket in Johor. The man “dove deep” into his character which he thought would be the perfect camouflage – putting on a hijab and applying nail polish to allow himself access to the ladies where he could record the victims “in action”.

His plan, however, did not work and he was caught by one of the workers of an accessories shop, according to a viral clip on X. Without any way out, he sat on the floor while other female staff checked on his phone to see what he had managed to record.

The man constantly pleaded to be released but he was ignored. He also claimed that he is married. He was then asked to show the Hijab and the lady’s shoes that he used for his mission to be a peeping Tom before he was eventually handed to the police.

“I don’t know what I’m thinking today, I’m embarrassed,” the man told the others.

Based on the police statement by PDRM in Johor this morning (October 23), the suspect is only 23 years old and has no previous criminal record. The matter is now being investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code, and he will face jail time of up to 2 years if found guilty.

Police also said the viral incident took place on Sunday (October 22) around 11 a.m. at a supermarket in Masai, Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Kudos to the people who helped in capturing the Peeping Tom before more women became his victims! If you happen to find anyone with suspicious behaviour, it is wise to report it to the authorities on the spot.
