Malayians were left shocked upon discovering that the local authorities in Melaka had visited a house after they received a complaint in regards to smells from cooking.
The Melaka Historic City Council (MBMB) took to its Facebook page to showcase their visit to the house, where they had spoken to the homeowner and inspected the home’s kitchen following a complaint.

They shared, “A site visit regarding a nuisance complaint about cooking smells in Taman Puncak Bertam was carried out this morning (9 December). The visit was led by Clr. Juhari bin Ahmad Salleh, MBMB Council Member for the Kesidang state constituency, to identify the cause and details of the complaint.”

MBMB went on to explain that the homeowner was advised not to carry out cooking activities in large quantities and to ensure staff members had taken typhoid injections prior to cooking activities.

MBMB did not specify whether the homeowner was running a food-based business from the residential unit.
“Cooking also can complain?”
The visit left Malaysians shocked and confused, as cooking is a regular thing that happens in homes.

“In the case of cooking also (someone) wants to make a complaint.”

“Even cooking at home can get you raided.”

“Even the smell of cooking also got complaint.”

“To cook is wrong, to not cook is also wrong.”

“There’s no more cooking after this, just takeaway food.”
