Immigration Dept Raids Illegal KL Beauty Centre Run by Foreigners While a Surgery Was Ongoing

The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) raided 2 beauty treatment centres operating illegally at residential premises in Cheras and Bukit Jalil, where foreign doctors were offering plastic surgery services.

According to a report by Harian Metro, the raids were carried out under Ops Dandan, which led to the arrests of 7 Vietnamese women and 2 local women.

The raids were the result of 2 months of surveillance

Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director, Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff, shared that the raids were carried out simultaneously, involving 44 officers from the operations and enforcement divisions of Kuala Lumpur JIM, after 2 months of surveillance by the Special Tactical Unit (Pastak).

They also seized RM9,070 in cash as well as surgical equipment, unregistered medicines and implant devices.

A video has since gone viral on social media, showing JIM enforcement officers raiding one of the illegal clinics located in a condominium unit. The video, shared by the measat.24 on TikTok, also showcased a patient undergoing a procedure with one of the foreign doctors when the raid took place.
