It’s not every day that you get to see your favourite actors eye to eye, and it’s even rarer to have a conversation with them. As for a Malaysian visual effects (VFX) artist, he had the time of his life recently in Australia when he got to produce a video with actor Paul Rudd, better known as Ant-Man.
Weeks ago, in his Facebook post, the VFX artist, Sofyank shared a teaser of his project with Paul and Jonathan Majors, the man who plays the new Marvel big bad, Kang the Conqueror. He visited Sydney and he was given 10 minutes to shoot his video. It may sound like a rush but Sofyank said that fortunately, it went smoothly.
Sofyank had nothing but good things to say about Paul Rudd.

On February 22, the completed video was finally released. The 2-minute clip begins with Sofyank “shrinking” himself before flying to Australia to give Paul a replica of a time machine. We gotta say, the VFX of tiny Sofyank travelling in KL Sentral and on the plane looks surreal!
Sofyank then returned to his actual size with Paul Rudd waiting for him in the shooting room. There, Sofyank told Paul, “I’ve figured out how to get Ant-Man’s power without Dr Pym’s suit”.
He then gave Paul a replica of KLCC before the time machine suddenly “absorbed” Paul into it, sending him to the “real” KLCC itself, where the skies suddenly turned purple, indicating the arrival of Kang the Conqueror.
Paul then told Sofyank he had to take care of some problems first before the video continues to play the trailer for Ant-Man 3.
Major praise for Sofyank
Sofyank’s video with Paul has gone viral and it has received praise from many Malaysians, who couldn’t stop saying good things about what they saw.
“Seriously stylish.”
“Paul was like, smart! How did he do that?”
Sofyank revealed that during the shooting, Paul gave his 100%.
“I smiled big. Congratulations Softyank, smart!”
