Buying things online these days has never been easier and there are so many cheap deals out there, sometimes you just can’t help yourself from going on a shopping spree. However, there are also many scams out there or just people selling fake stuff, so it’s always good to perform due diligence and make sure that the item you purchased is the actual product.

This is especially true for skincare and cosmetics, as there are unscrupulous people who will sell fake products in hopes of earning a quick buck. That’s why we should always make sure that the things we buy online are legit and get them from trusted sellers – otherwise, you could suffer from detrimental consequences.

A Malaysian netizen warned others about buying fake skincare products online and said that it could have terrible effects on the face. She posted photos of someone who had presumedly used fake skincare products and it absolutely ruined that person’s face. It looks really bad! She included the caption, “The results of using skincare/makeup from unknown manufacturers. It may be cheap but you risk your face ending up like this.”

She advised others not to be greedy and go for cheap stuff just to save a few ringgit. Instead, we should always make sure that the products are not counterfeit ones which might contain ingredients that can wreck your face. In order to save costs and sell the products cheaply, these merchants will mix unsafe ingredients or produce the items in unsanitary conditions.

She also shared some photos of workers making these fake products where they were shown to be mixing unknown ingredients and then packaging them into legit-looking containers. Netizens were tagging their friends and reminding them not to simply buy skincare or makeup just because it was cheap but to make sure that it comes from a legit and trusted seller.

Remember to check before you buy to avoid any unfortunate incidents! Your face and body are precious!
