Motorcyclist Suffers Severed Hand After Being Hit by Proton Satria in Horrific Accident on Selangor Road

A motorcyclist suffered a horrific injury as his hand was severed in an accident on Jalan Sungai Rambai, Jenjarom, Selangor, on Tuesday (30 December) at approximately 12:45 PM.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was hit by a Proton Satria car when he was exiting the Jalan Akasia junction.

According to a report by Kosmo!, the Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, shared that investigations found that the motorcyclist, who was riding a Yamaha LC135, was heading towards Jalan Sungai Rambai while exiting the junction when the accident occurred.

“As a result of the collision, the victim was thrown onto the shoulder of the road and suffered a severed hand and an injury to his right leg. The Proton Satria hit the guardrail before veering into the opposite lane and crashing into the front of a Toyota Vellfire MPV,” he stated.

 

The motorcyclist is now in stable condition

Following the incident, the motorcyclist was taken to the Banting Hospital and successfully underwent surgery on his right hand and is reportedly now in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the Proton Satria and Toyota Vellfire, aged 20 and 60 respectively, did not suffer any injuries.

This case is currently being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
