A woman who is the mother of a 13-year-old daughter was shocked to find her child had given birth to a baby girl at their home last Sunday, 20 June.
According to Sinar Harian, the woman woke up at 3am and found her daughter cleaning a newborn baby girl. Shocked by what she witnessed, she immediately took her daughter and the baby to Kota Belud Hospital for a full examination and treatment.

Kota Belud District Police Chief, Superintendent Sahimi Husin said, the initial investigation found that the victim was believed to have been raped by a 14-year-old boy who was her cousin.
“Preliminary investigation also found that the victim is believed to have been raped by her cousin about three times since August last year.
The teenage suspect has been detained at the Kota Marudu District Police Headquarters (IPD) yesterday afternoon (21 June), for further investigation,” he said, as reported by Sinar Harian.

He added that the investigation paper will be handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action.
“So far, the investigation is being carried out in accordance with Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape,” he said.
