Two university students were spending time in a car at Malacca Beach when they were interrupted by a man claiming to be a police officer. He entered the car and contacted an alleged “colleague,” who arrived on a motorcycle.
The men accused the students of engaging in sexual activity in the car and demanded RM3,000 to avoid legal action.
Little did the couple know, the men were not with PDRM, and the extortion was just the beginning of the nightmare.
Unable to pay the “fine,” the suspects—posing as police officers—forced the couple to engage in sexual acts. One suspect recorded the incident while the other drove the car. Upon reaching a convenience store with an ATM, the suspects instructed the male student to withdraw cash, leaving the female student behind with one of the men.
The female student was raped twice by the 29-year-old suspect and sexually assaulted once by the 23-year-old suspect.
The male student, desperate, borrowed RM50 from a friend and handed it over to the suspects. Later, they returned to the beach in Klebang, Malacca, where both suspects fled on a motorcycle. The victims, both 18 years old, immediately lodged a police report at 3 am on May 23.
Both suspects have since been arrested. According to Malacca Police Chief Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar, they will be remanded until May 29, as reported by Malaysia Gazette.
The case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape and Section 170 for impersonating a civil servant.
