During a 14-day school program, a 14-year-old girl admitted to selling her body to 31 men for the sake of credit top-up.

In a recent podcast by Mingguan Wanita, Ustazah Nazirah Abu Bakar, an officer from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), shared a shocking story she encountered, in which an underage girl casually admitted that she slept with over 30 men just to get what she wanted.

During the 2-week program at a school for students with disciplinary issues, Ustazah Nazirah met the 14-year-old Siti (pseudonym), who was enrolled in the program for running away from home, beating her mum, and Zina (sexual intercourse between a man and a woman before marriage).

When asked how many men she had committed Zina with, Siti casually answered,

“Not much Ustazah. Just 31 men.”

Ustazah Nazirah was shocked by how casual Siti was, and Siti was blunt about why she was okay with doing so.

“If they could get me (credit) top-up, I wouldn’t mind doing it.”

“She was only 14. I couldn’t imagine what her parents would feel if they heard this.”

Siti’s situation at home wasn’t any better

The teenager revealed to Ustazah Nazirah that she would beat her mum at home after seeing her father doing the same to the woman. Unfortunately, Siti did not just use her bare hands to abuse her mum.

“Guess what she used? She threw the pestle and mortar at her mum. I couldn’t brain this, ” Ustazah Nazirah said.

The officer from JAKIM also highlighted that the situations today are not similar to what many of us experienced back then.

“Last time, despite being mad at our parents, we would return home after only a few steps out the door. Today, the kids run away from home.”

In the podcast, Ustazah Nazirah and the host discussed the responsibilities of a child to respect their mother.

Dear parents, how do you cope with the challenges in raising your children, especially when they are exposed to social media and peer pressure?
