It was 6 August 1966 when Public Bank kickstarted its ‘Bank for the People’ journey, opening its very first branch at Jalan Gereja, Kuala Lumpur.
To celebrate their 60 years of legacy, Public Bank recently invited Malaysians to ‘celebrate the day it all began’ on 6 August 2026 at Menara Public Bank, with an elaborate and dazzling drone and fireworks show.

From 21–23 August 2026, Public Bank is hosting PB60 Fest, a premier three-day festival packed with live music and family games taking place at Open Car Park, Old Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Centre.

1. Celebrating six decades of history with great live music
Organised to express appreciation for its loyal customers, PB60 Fest is Public Bank’s first public music festival, featuring exciting activities such as live music performances by your favourite local artists and interactive family-friendly games.
Speaking of live music, here’s the stellar line-up you’ll be vibing to at PB60 Fest:
The Mandopop-EDM princess rose to fame after uploading viral song covers on YouTube. Femes for her amazing voice, she quickly signed on as a professional recording artist and produced hit original songs like “I Love The Sky”. She frequently collaborates with other artists across the region, including Shila Amzah and fellow headliner Jaclyn Victor, and performs extensively across Malaysia, Taiwan, and Singapore.

The iconic pop-R&B singer achieved national stardom after winning the inaugural season of Malaysian Idol. Widely acclaimed for her multi-octave vocal range and powerful belt, her multi-award-winning anthem, “Gemilang” (written specifically for the first Malaysian Idol winner), remains a hallmark in Malaysian music history.
The lovable kampung boy singer-songwriter, actor, and film director rose to fame in the late 1990s, especially for his catchy, folk-pop hits like “Look Over Here, Girl” (famously lip-synced by Taiwanese celeb Richie Jen in the MV). 3. How to join PB60 Fest?
With an A-list roster of local music talents and engaging games that are fun for the whole family, PB60 Fest is shaping up to be Public Bank’s biggest event yet. And the best news of all? It’s open to everyone!
Here are two ways you can gain entry to PB60 Fest:
- If you’re an existing Public Bank customer:
- Check your registered email inbox for an official PB60 Fest QR code. Present the code at the entrance to unlock entry for yourself, one partner, and your children.
- If you’re a non-Public Bank customer:
- Register your info on-site on event day and complete one game activity to gain single-person entry.
That’s all there is to it! But remember, entry is only available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to come earlier to chup your spot.
