According to The Star, state police deputy chief Comm Datuk Mohd Kamarudin Md Din said that the victim had been reported as missing by her family since last Friday (7th June). The police said that she was last seen going out from her home in Taman Sri Putri, Skudai, on 28th May, and her family said that the woman had last contacted them on 29th May.

Based on initial investigations, the police arrested two men in their 30s soon after, and one of the suspects was actually the victim’s boyfriend. Mohd Kamarudin said, “The first suspect, a 35-year-old man who is also the victim’s boyfriend, had admitted to the murder and had brought the police team to the location where he had dumped the body. The suspect and the deceased had been in a relationship for eight years and the victim was murdered due to jealousy.”

Harian Metro reported that the boyfriend had become jealous when he saw his girlfriend talking to another man. In a fit of anger, he had followed his girlfriend to the bathroom while she was having a shower and used a rubber pipe to hit her until she died. WTF! After that, he had covered her body with plastic canvas before stuffing her inside a box.

However, her body started decomposing and he could smell it through the box, so he decided to cover the body with ceiling plaster to try and stop the stench from being too obvious. The boyfriend then called a friend, a 32-year-old man, to help him dump the body.

The police had brought her boyfriend of eight years in for questioning upon starting their investigation, whereupon he broke down and confessed to the murder. Both suspects were arrested by the state Serious Crimes division (D9) and Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Society division (D7) at a premise in Jalan Setia 10/3B, Taman Setia Indah.

Meanwhile, the body of the poor woman has been taken to Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) for postmortem. The urine tests for both suspects came out positive for methamphetamine, and they were discovered to have criminal records. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and carries the death penalty if found guilty.

Hopefully, the criminals will get the justice they deserve!
