The nearer the state elections, the more promises are being made and all that’s left for Malaysians to find out if the promises will ever be kept.

This year, Selangor is 1 of the 6 states that will participate in the state polls which is scheduled for 12 August. The Chairman of PN in Selangor, Azmin Ali recently promised a “deal” for Selangor residents – free parking if they win the state!

To Azmin, keeping that promise is merely a small matter, thanks to his experience of governing Selangor in the past with the Commissioner of PAS in Selangor.

However, don’t be too happy yet because if PN does win the state, the free parking does not apply to ALL Selangor-ians, only those in North Selangor will have the luxury to enjoy free parking if PN wins the state.

“It’s not hard to implement free parking in North Selangor. It’s just a small matter,” Azmin said during a campaign in Kuala Selangor.

“4 billions state reserves during my time”

To convince the people, Azmin went on and said that during his previous tenure as Menteri Besar in Selangor, the state had as much as 4 billions in state reserves.

Azmin mentioned Hijrah, a loan capital up to RM50,000 to those who were looking to expand their businesses.

“Banks were not able to give you the loans when you wanted to expand your roadside businesses, and then we provided the Hijrah loan capital for you guys,” Azmin said.

He then said the best part about the Hijrah loan was how the government did not impose any interest and only a minimum monthly payment was required. If PN wins again in the upcoming state polls, Azmin is convinced that he will be able to grant free parking to the people in North Selangor.

While the free parking is not eligible for everyone in Selangor, to those who are living in the state, will you give PN a chance to govern the state?
