Just recently, a local influencer found herself under fire for calling out employers at Lotus’s for not helping her carry her purchased items to her car. She also claimed that she had spent RM5,000 during her recent visit, which upset her even more when none of the staff offered a helping hand.

She brought her frustration online, where she received major backlash from many Malaysians who defended the staff at Lotus’s.

Just last night (February 2), she issued a long apology via her Facebook page.

“I was just joking, it was indeed my fault”

In her Facebook post, she said that she was only joking with a tone that “many did not find acceptable”.

She also admitted that it was indeed her fault for not bringing a couple of her workers to help her during the visit, and added that during her visits to the supermarket in the past, some of the staff would happily assist her.

“They know I always have to carry a lot of stuff. When they see me and my team, they would usually offer to help when I don’t even pay them anything.”

She said that unfortunately, during her recent visit when she had 10 trolleys with her, the men who usually help were not at the scene.

“I’ve asked some of the staff to help, but they said they couldn’t. So I did it all by myself. I did not force anyone,” she clarified.

She also emphasised that she was merely expressing her disappointment about her recent experience at the supermarket.

“I sincerely apologised to anyone affected. I didn’t scold them, I was just asking for help, and I have always supported the place.”

The local influencer, who also runs a crepe business assured the people that her apology is not an act, but a sincerity from the bottom of her heart.

In the meantime, a few hours before she issued her apology, Lotus’s responded to her viral video, and sarcastically blamed the trolley instead 😀

“We’ve investigated thoroughly. It was the trolley’s fault. Why couldn’t they carry themselves? Why do they have to be pushed?”

Do you think the employees could’ve helped her to ease her burden?
