Last year, news of a German who earned money by begging on the streets in various countries and getting deported to his home country was making the rounds on the internet.

The reason his story was so popular was because he was using the money he earned from begging to go out partying at local tourist destinations.

Through his escapades, some netizens have given him names such as “Asia’s biggest scammer” and “useless beggar”.

Benjamin suffers from a rare form of localised gigantism known as Macrodystrophia Lipomatosa on his right leg, which is the reason his right leg is very swollen.

Pictures of Benjamin show him begging in Asian countries like Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Cambodia and Indonesia.

His story made it particularly to Facebook because he has the audacity to use his swollen leg as an excuse to gain sympathy from kind-hearted people. He then uses this money given to him on drinks and girls.

Well, it looks like Benjamin Holst, the infamous 32 year-old beggar, has returned to Asia a year later, this time, he’s made it to none other than Malaysia!

Benjamin doesn’t keep this a secret either, as he documents his adventures on Facebook through photos and status updates.

He made his way to Malaysia from Singapore on the 2nd of March, posting a few photos of his journey on Facebook.

Once Benjamin arrived in Kuala Lumpur, he wasted no time and quickly grabbed a steak for dinner and presumed to party in Bukit Bintang shortly after that.

He then ventured to Penang Island on the 5th of March to look for “cheaper girls” at the beach.

We hope the authorities do something a little more drastic to reprimand him just like how Thailand and Indonesia did.

Currently, his last post on Facebook indicates that he’s still in Kuala Lumpur.
